Live streaming allows us to film and share a funeral service online in real time. We capture the service and use Wi-Fi or mobile internet to broadcast it securely. You can watch the live stream on a wide range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers.
Unlike many public video streams, we keep funeral live streams private. We provide secure login pages and password protection, ensuring that only invited guests can access the broadcast. This helps keep your loved one’s service as private and personal as you would wish.
Live streaming allows us to record the service at the same time. As a result, anyone who cannot watch the service live can view the recording afterwards. This is also helpful for anyone who experiences an unreliable internet connection during the broadcast. Recordings can remain available for up to three months, giving family and friends the opportunity to revisit the service in their own time.
Once quite rare at funerals, live streaming is now widely available at crematorium chapels. Although it is not used at every service, many families appreciate having the option available. Advances in technology have also reduced costs and considerably improved the quality of the service.
The funeral is usually captured by one camera discreetly located at the back of the chapel. The service is available to view live online and is also recorded. Families can then choose from additional options, including catch-up viewing, DVDs, Blu-ray discs or USBs.
The majority of crematoriums now offer webcasting facilities, including our local crematoriums at Emstrey and Telford. However, please ask us if you would like information about crematoriums further afield.
We are able to offer a live streaming service in any venue, subject to permission. Our team can set up multiple cameras to capture all elements of the service. The live stream is accessed through a secure platform, and we can even let you know how many people have viewed the service. If you would like this option, please ask.
